TECH Freire Charter School @ the Shrine
On Friday, November 17, 2023, eight Seniors from TECH Freire Charter School in North Philadelphia visited the Shrine as part of their annual “Senior Day of Service.” After a tour and presentation on our shared mission of being peacemakers in today’s world, the students helped us clean up garbage from around the neighborhood, assemble care packages for people experiencing homelessness, and write Christmas cards for inmates across the U.S. It was a joy to have them join us at the Shrine!
