Welcome, Patrick!
This week, the Shrine welcomed Mr. Patrick McKenzie to our team as the new Outreach and Events Coordinator.
Patrick graduated from the University of Scranton with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and from Fordham University with a master's degree in Catholic Educational Leadership. While at Scranton, Patrick was the university sacristan, captain of the university swimming team, president of the Middle Atlantic Conference Student Athletic Advisory Committee, a retreat leader, and a member of the 2005 service immersion trip to Nairobi, Kenya.
After graduating from the University of Scranton, Patrick worked at St. Joseph’s Prep as a member of the Alumni Service Corps in Campus Ministry and as an assistant swimming coach. He also served as the Campus Minister of The DePaul Catholic School in Germantown, and most recently served for eight years as the Director of Campus Ministry at Neumann University. Patrick represents his parish as a member of the Archdiocesan Commission on Racial Healing. He resides in Passyunk Square with his wife Lauren, and two children, Brendan and Maeve.
We are grateful and excited to have him here with us! Please continue to pray for and welcome Patrick to the Shrine.
