800th Adeodatus Meeting

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, Adeodatus celebrated a remarkable milestone: their 800th meeting! For the past 16 years, this group has met every week to reflect on Scripture, provide support for formerly incarcerated people and their families, offer prayers for a more just and peaceful world, and create a safe space for all those who struggle with or knows someone who struggles with addiction. When you stop to think about it, 800 meetings is a pretty remarkable feat! For the past ten years, we have had the honor of hosting these meetings at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia. This joint ministry between A.D.R.O.P. and the Shrine continues to provide hope and consolation to countless members of our community.

Please keep this ministry and the people it serves in your prayers. Thanks to the leadership of Fr. Jeremy Hiers, O.S.A., Mr. George Munyan, and Fr. Paul Morrissey, O.S.A., the group continues to offer an encouraging witness to God’s mercy and love. It is a privilege to have the Shrine play some small part in its powerful mission. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Fr. Jeremy. You can learn more about Adeodatus here.

Saint Rita, keep praying for Adeodatus and everyone it serves!
