Obituary for Fr. William A. Recchuti, O.S.A.

Fr. William (Bill) Alphonse Recchuti, O.S.A. passed on on the evening of January 28, 2022. Son of the late Alphonse and Mary (Geis) Recchuti, he is survived by his brother John and his sister Irene, and members of his Augustinian community.  Fr. Bill served twenty-six years (1962-1988) at Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA.  Beginning in 1988, he served in parishes staffed by the Augustinians in Flourtown, PA (1988-1998), Mechanicville, NY, and Waterford, NY (1999-2006). From 2006 to 2021, Fr. Bill continued his ministry at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia in Philadelphia, PA. 

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the Mass at the Augustinian plot at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, the Augustinian Community requests that donations be made in memory of Fr. Bill to the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, 1166 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19146.
